If humans were to cease to exist in the next 500 years the planet would slowly regain control and natural order would be restored. In a future without humans the harmful effects of global warming would be reversed (hopefully), the reefs would once again thrive, the rainforests would flourish, oil and coal would remain in the ground. Balance would return.
Cause and Reflect is an interactive visual feedback loop created using cctv cameras, a video mixer and circuit bent video enhancers.
Left undisturbed, the visuals cycle in peace, calm and balanced. When someone enters the frame they disrupt the balance, the loop will fight to regain control in a chaotic fashion, evolving into a beautiful mess until the person leaves the frame and balance is restored once more.
